What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Biology Social Media Assistant (BSM) AY’26 position at La Sierra University?
Position Summary
We're looking for a student who is a strong communicator and familiar with multiple social media channels such as Discord, X (formerly Twitter), Tik Tok, Facebook and Instagram. The student will send announcements within the department. The student will help department faculty and staff communicate on social media.
This position will report directly to the Biology Chair.
Initial schedule is estimated at 4 hours / week, working when the supervisor is present weekday mornings. Work location is the Biology Office, PSC 201, or remote as arranged with the supervisor.
No specific prior experience is needed besides computer and social media fluency. Graphic design proficiency is desired but not required. Experience with video editing for social media is highly desirable.

- Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the entire 2025-2026 Academic Year
- Biology major is preferred
- Must be able to start work immediately upon hire/clearance
