Front Desk Associate – La Quinta by Wyndham, Everett, WA
La Quinta by Wyndham Everett is seeking a reliable, guest-oriented Front Desk Associate to assist with both day and overnight operations. This position plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for our guests and helping maintain smooth daily hotel functions.
Main Duties
- Greet guests warmly and handle all check-in and checkout procedures
- Manage room bookings, payments, and guest requests with accuracy and courtesy
- Answer phone calls and address guest concerns in a timely, professional manner
- Complete nightly audit reports and other end-of-day duties during overnight shifts
- Keep the front desk and lobby area tidy and welcoming at all times
- Contribute to general hotel upkeep, including public spaces such as the lobby, restrooms, gym, pool, and café area
- Help with light daily tasks such as preparing breakfast, managing small laundry loads, and restocking the market area
Schedule & Availability
- Open to working both daytime and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Weekend and holiday shifts are required
- Typical schedule: 16–32 hours per week
- Additional hours may become available

Compensation
- Starting Pay: $16.66 per hour

1. Guest Service & Front Desk Operations
- Greet and check in guests in a polite, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Verify guest identification, process payments, and issue room keys.
- Check out guests, finalize folios, and ensure all charges are accurate.
- Handle walk-ins, reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
- Answer phones and emails professionally and assist with guest inquiries.
- Handle guest complaints calmly and effectively, escalating serious issues when needed.
- Provide information about the hotel, local area, and hotel amenities.
2. Cash, Payment & Revenue Responsibilities
- Correctly process all cash, credit card, and online payments.
- Perform cash drops, shift audits, and end-of-shift financial reports when assigned.
- Post incidental charges correctly (market items, damages, late checkouts, etc.).
- Identify and report any payment issues, chargebacks, or suspicious transactions.
- Maintain accuracy in revenue accounts and prevent loss from errors or fraud.
3. Night Audit (for overnight candidates)
- Run end-of-day reports and reconcile daily transactions.
- Ensure room status, balances, and revenue reports are correct.
- Investigate any discrepancies and report them to management.
- Prepare and print reports for the morning shift.

4. Safety, Security & Guest Control
- Monitor security cameras and lobby activity.
- Ensure only registered guests access guest floors.
- Handle difficult, disruptive, or intoxicated guests appropriately and safely.
- Call management or law enforcement if a situation becomes unsafe.
- Check and monitor guest activity during overnight shifts.
5. Property Support & Cleanliness Oversight
- Keep the front desk, lobby, breakfast area, and back office clean and organized.
- Assist in basic lobby cleaning and restroom checks during shifts if needed.
- Communicate room issues to housekeeping and maintenance immediately.
- Assist with towels, linens, extra pillows, supplies, and small guest requests when housekeeping is unavailable.
6. Systems & Administrative Work
- Use hotel PMS systems to manage reservations and guest accounts.
- Update guest notes, preferences, and incident logs accurately.
- Review arrival and departure lists daily.
- Monitor room inventory, rates, and availability.
- Assist with reports for management as needed.
7. Breakfast & Early Morning Duties (if applicable)
- Assist with setting up continental breakfast.
- Restock items and maintain cleanliness during breakfast hours.
- Monitor food safety and cleanliness standards.
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications
- Prior hotel or customer service experience preferred
