Position Summary
The Front Desk Supervisor oversees daily front desk operations, ensuring smooth check-in/check-out, guest satisfaction, and compliance with hotel policies. This position serves as a lead for front desk agents, providing training, guidance, and support while maintaining a professional, welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and schedule front desk associates to ensure consistent service quality.
- Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and billing accurately.
- Resolve guest issues and complaints professionally and promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
- Monitor daily cash handling, credit card transactions, and shift reports.
- Ensure compliance with Wyndham brand standards, property policies, and safety procedures.
- Conduct daily shift briefings and ensure communication between shifts.
- Assist with night audit and reporting as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby.
- Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Support the General Manager in administrative duties and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of hotel front desk or customer service experience (supervisory experience preferred).
- Knowledge of hotel PMS systems (experience with Wyndham/Opera preferred).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must have basic computer skills and understanding of front office procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality training a plus.
