Duties
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are cleaned to company standards
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and service quality
- Coordinate scheduling and assign tasks to team members efficiently
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to maintain cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies related to cleaning practices
- Collaborate with management to develop and improve housekeeping procedures
- Address guest requests or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain documentation of cleaning schedules, inspections, and staff performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality or industrial setting
- Prior hotel experience or background in hospitality management is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods
- Leadership skills with experience managing a team of housekeeping staff
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and supervise staff throughout shifts
