Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Personal Training Director located in Paramus, NJ. The Personal Training Director is responsible for overseeing the personal training department, managing and mentoring trainers, and driving sales of personal training services. Day-to-day tasks include team leadership, client engagement, fitness program design, performance evaluations, sales strategy implementation, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. The role requires collaboration with gym management to achieve departmental goals and maintain a motivational and results-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse group of personal trainers
- Proficiency in fitness assessments, goal setting, and program design tailored to clients' individual needs
- Sales and business management expertise, including developing and executing strategies to drive personal training revenue
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with clients and team members
- Knowledge of health and fitness trends, along with certification from a nationally recognized organization such as NASM, ACE, or ISSA
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a client-focused approach
- Prior experience in a similar role or relevant fitness industry experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field is a plus
