Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Wellness to lead our comprehensive wellness programs within our senior living community. Duties
- Develop and execute strategic wellness programs tailored to residents’ needs.
- Supervise nursing staff and care teams, providing guidance on care plans, documentation review, and shift management to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Oversee the management of medical records, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and documentation review processes to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Coordinate with medical professionals to facilitate resident assessments.
- Monitor resident’s physiology and anatomy-related health indicators to identify potential issues early and implement appropriate interventions.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards related to personal care homes, nursing hospice care, home health services, and acute care settings.
- Lead efforts in staff training on medical terminology, EMR systems, nurse management practices, and compliance protocols to foster a knowledgeable caregiving team.
- Manage resources efficiently across shifts while maintaining high standards of resident safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Prior experience in nursing administration within personal care facilities or nursing homes; supervisory experience required. LPN or RN
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, and state-specific licensing requirements.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation management.
- Extensive understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and care planning processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Experience managing resident care plans in diverse settings such as hospice care, home health, or acute care environments.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with residents’ families, healthcare providers, and staff members.
