We’re hiring a Software Engineering Manager in Sioux Falls, SD for a role with real technical depth and the opportunity to shape the team, technology, and engineering culture behind complex, mission-critical systems.
This is for the engineer who moved into leadership and still wants to understand how the system works. Who asks sharp questions in a design review, spots risk early, and gives technical leads the trust and space to own their decisions.

Engage in architecture discussions, challenge assumptions, and help teams navigate tradeoffs around reliability, performance, delivery, and maintainability

Advance automation, testing, CI/CD, tooling, and software and build a community of practice that makes the whole organization stronger.

Turn priorities into realistic plans, align resources, surface risks, and remove obstacles.
Connect technical decisions to the bigger picture:
Partner with engineering, product, and operations leaders to move complex projects forward.
What you bring:
- 8 years developing complex software systems and 2 years leading engineers or technical teams.
- Technical depth across architecture, development, integration, debugging, and testing.
- Strong planning and communication skills, with the judgment to balance immediate delivery and long-term engineering health.
- A relevant technical bachelor’s degree.
- Curiosity, humility, accountability and the confidence to change your mind when the evidence calls for it.
- Experience with embedded, distributed, networked, or mission-critical software is especially relevant. Linux, C/C , Python, web applications, and containers are all valuable parts of the toolkit.
