Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Body and Chassis systems with strong expertise in Siemens NX. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the automotive or commercial vehicle (truck/trailer) domain, with hands-on experience in structural design, product development, and engineering validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop body-in-white (BIW) and chassis components for automotive or commercial vehicle applications.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using Siemens NX.
• Perform design calculations and support structural validation activities.
• Apply DFM, DFA, DFMEA, and PFMEA methodologies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and production readiness.
• Coordinate with multiple manufacturing locations and support product launches.
• Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle design.
• Strong expertise in Body/Chassis design and development.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens NX (3D modeling, assembly, drafting).
• Solid understanding of metal and composite materials used in vehicle structures.
• Experience in design validation methods including FEA (preferred).
• Proficiency in DFMEA, PFMEA, DFA, and DFM.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, and fabrication.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in truck/trailer or heavy vehicle design.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and regulations.
• Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
