Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations and upselling specialty cocktails, wines, and food items to enhance their experience.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate sales transaction processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, including proper food handling practices and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Assist with food service duties such as bussing tables, setting up bar stations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while managing multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills.
- Build rapport with guests by providing attentive guest services, addressing inquiries promptly, and fostering guest relations to encourage repeat visits.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience with a focus on bar or cocktail service preferred.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell beverages and food items effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits expertise, cocktail mixing, and fine dining service is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Prior host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus; hospitality background is highly valued.
