Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position
Provides patient care, clinical education, and staff support. Coordinates and implements the nursing assessment process for patients undergoing radiation therapy, and provides assistance to the Radiation Oncologist as required. Assists in the development and implementation of Total Quality Management program activities.
Qualifications and RequirementsHigh school diploma, or equivalent, required. Registered Nurse degree required. Must be licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Hawaii. Experience in oncology nursing, specifically in radiation therapy preferred; knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Computer experience desirable; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Basic Life Support (BLS), Level A certification required, with retraining once every two years.
