Casual Part-Time (Req# 2024-069) Variable shifts, 8 hours per week. Requires endurance for shift rotation as necessary and working weekdays, weekends and holidays. May be required to work beyond regularly-scheduled work hours as needed.
Kuakini Medical Center
Responsible for the operational activities of the Health System in the absence of the administrative and nursing management staff. Plans, organizes, directs, implements, supervises, communicates, and evaluates functions to promote efficient operations of the nursing service during a designated shift in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, legal, contractual, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), corporate and regulatory requirements. Works collaboratively with all hospital departments and the medical staff to achieve and maintain quality patient care in a cost-effective manner, and promotes teamwork among all members of the healthcare team. Coordinates effective utilization of hospital beds in liaison with Admissions Office, nursing staff, and other departments.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum three (3) years experience in nursing management preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with retraining once every two (2) years.
Starting Hourly Rate $61.73
