Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position
Applies the nursing process through assessment, formulating nursing diagnoses, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating plans of care for assigned patients in the Operating Room. Is responsible for following established standards of nursing practice as delineated by the Medical Center. Assists the surgeon and surgical team with the intraoperative care of the patient.
Qualifications and RequirementsGraduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Hawaii required. Completion of Operating Room Training Course or one (1) year previous experience in the Operating Room required. Certified Nurse of Operating Room ( CNOR ) preferred. Basic working knowledge of computers for computerized documentation highly desirable; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Basic Life Support Provider certification with retraining once every two years. Requires successful completion of two-day mandatory orientation classes and preceptor program for new hires.
Starting Hourly Range $49.53 — $62.22
