Position: Sr. Technical Analyst – JAMF engineer
Location: On-site, Alpharetta / Cincinnati
Employment Type: Contract (US Citizens or Green Card Holders only)
Responsibilities
- Lead administration and configuration of JAMF Pro for macOS and iOS device management.
- Manage Chromebook deployment, configuration, and policy enforcement using Google Admin Console / Chrome Enterprise.
- Create, package, and deploy macOS applications and updates using JAMF Pro policies and workflows.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce CIS Benchmark security policies for macOS and ChromeOS devices.
- Define and maintain device security, compliance, and configuration standards for Apple and Chromebook endpoints.
- Monitor and troubleshoot device performance, application issues, and endpoint compliance.
- Design and maintain automated deployment workflows for macOS and ChromeOS devices.
- Integrate JAMF Pro and Chromebook management tools with enterprise systems (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Active Directory).
- Lead onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle management of macOS and Chromebook devices.
- Develop and maintain documentation, operational procedures, and training materials for device management processes.
- Collaborate with IT teams, security, and end-users to deliver a secure and compliant device management experience.
- Mentor and guide junior administrators and support staff in JAMF, Chromebook administration, and CIS Benchmark best practices.
- Evaluate new device management tools, features, and industry best practices to continuously improve endpoint management processes.
Experience & Requirements
- 7 years of experience managing enterprise macOS environments using JAMF Pro.
- Strong experience with Chromebook management and Google Admin Console / Chrome Enterprise.
- Expertise in External JSS Configuration (JAMF Cloud) and JSS Application Management & Maintenance.
- Experience with application packaging, configuration, testing, and deployment using JAMF.
- Knowledge and experience in JSS Compliance / CIS Policy Management.
- Skilled in creating and maintaining documentation, SOPs, governance documentation, and reports.
- Hands-on experience with macOS beta, pilot, and production deployments.
- Proficiency in providing L1, L2, L3, and L4 support for enterprise endpoints.
- Experience with DR architecture & management for device management systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of JSS client patching and Apple DEP/VPP management.
- Practical experience managing and enforcing CIS benchmarks for macOS and ChromeOS.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Scripting knowledge (Bash, Shell, Python, AppleScript) for automation and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate with IT teams, security, and stakeholders to ensure secure and compliant device management.
