Position Overview:
KS Mortgage Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer to join our growing team on a
commission-based basis. In this sales-driven role, you’ll be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, nurturing strong referral relationships, and guiding clients through the loan process from consultation to closing.
As part of the broader KS network—which includes real estate, association management, and home services—you’ll gain access to unique internal pipelines that can fuel your business, provided you are proactive, relationship-focused, and committed to follow-through with integrity and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations to understand clients’ financial goals, assess eligibility, and recommend appropriate mortgage products.
- Application Management: Manage the complete mortgage process, from gathering documents to submission and closing, ensuring accuracy and a seamless client experience.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze borrower financials to guide loan recommendations, including interest rates, loan structures, and terms.
- Sales & Lead Generation: Actively prospect and convert leads through personal outreach, networking events, realtor relationships, and internal KS pipelines.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, community partners, and other referral sources.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on lending guidelines and ensure all files remain compliant with industry and company standards.
- Customer Service: Provide prompt, transparent, and responsive communication with borrowers throughout the loan process.
- Meeting Attendance: Attend approximately two meetings weekly with community boards or participate in annual events to represent KS and grow visibility.
- Educational Seminars: Partner with realtors to conduct CE courses and attend seminars to support community education and increase your reach.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in mortgage lending or financial services
- Active NMLS license required
- Strong sales and closing abilities with a proven record of lead conversion
- Experience with
mortgage systems such as Shape or Lending Pad is preferred - Highly detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up and organization
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-based environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills
