Responsibilities:
Test Execution & Quality
- Execute end-to-end validation of embedded and digital solutions across development, integration, and release phases.
- Perform functional, regression, OTA, and data acquisition testing as per defined test strategies.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively suggest improvements.
- Ensure test quality, repeatability, and traceability—not just execution.
Protocols, Tools & Debugging
- Validate communication using CAN, J1939, and UDS protocols.
- Capture and analyze logs using CANalyzer, PCAN, or related tools.
- Debug issues across device, network, and application layers.
- Support root cause analysis and work closely with developers to drive resolution.
OTA & Integration Validation
- Execute OTA update scenarios, including edge cases and failure handling.
- Validate backend–device interactions involving cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Support OEM integration testing and field issue reproduction.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Develop or enhance scripts, tools, or small automation solutions to improve efficiency.
- Reuse and maintain existing automation and test accelerators.
- Contribute ideas to improve overall validation processes and standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Document test cases, results, defects, and observations clearly in PLM systems.
- Maintain accurate and timely test status reporting.
- Create reusable test artifacts that add long-term value to the team.
Agile Collaboration
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and defect triage.
- Provide clear progress updates and highlight risks early.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
Requirements:
- Embedded / Device Validation – Intermediate: Execute tests independently and debug issues
- OTA Validation – Intermediate: Execute defined scenarios and understand update flows and failure modes
- CAN / J1939 / UDS – Working knowledge: Analyze messages, logs, and basic diagnostic flows
- CANalyzer / PCAN Tools – Working knowledge: Message simulation, log analysis, and basic scripting
- Backend / Cloud Awareness – Basic: Understand end-to-end system flow involving cloud and devices
- Test Documentation – Intermediate: Clear, structured documentation in PLM tools
- Agile Testing – Working knowledge: Testing within sprints, defect tracking, and progress

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation scripting (Python, etc.)
- Experience validating telematics or connected vehicle systems
