SUMMARY: A Residential Multi-Trade is responsible for carrying out a variety of residential maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across multiple trades, including carpentry, plastering, tiling, and decorating. Delivers high-quality work, ensures properties are safe and well-maintained, and provides reliable, efficient service to residents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment across residential sites
- Prepare and maintain clean, safe working areas, removing hazards and debris
- Support a range of trades, including carpentry, tiling, and decorating
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary structures
- Operate, maintain, and safely store hand and power tools and equipment
- Carry out general laboring duties, including lifting, digging, and material handling
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and site signage
- Carry out basic multi-trade repairs and maintenance within residential properties
- Follow instructions and work schedules set by the foreman or project manager
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to residents
- Identify and report faults, unsafe conditions, and additional repair needs
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and residents
- Maintain a professional, flexible approach and adapt to varying tasks and project needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in general maintenance or multi-trade work
- Practical knowledge of construction techniques and safe work practices
- Competent with hand and power tools
- Physically able to lift, move materials, and perform general labor tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to a variety of tasks
- Reliable transportation to travel between multiple job sites
- Must supply and maintain basic hand tools
- Professional, flexible, and willing to learn on the job
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
