SUMMARY: A Warehouse Associate is responsible for handling, transporting, and storing both non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse setting. Their primary responsibilities include loading and unloading shipments, tracking and updating inventory records, and ensuring that incoming deliveries accurately match purchase orders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify the quantity and quality of incoming shipments for accuracy
- Label all products and store them in their appropriate locations
- Identify and retrieve the correct items during the delivery process
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of stock and inventory
- Process returns by completing required documentation and communications
- Ensure all material handling equipment is properly maintained through routine checks
- Communicate purchasing needs and track items that are low in stock
- Work with internal teams to locate missing packages, resolve delivery errors, and replace damaged goods
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and well-maintained, including yard and off-site storage areas
- Perform debris removal and maintain cleanliness at job sites
- Clean and organize equipment in the warehouse so it is ready for dispatch
- Understand logistics processes, quality control, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep
- Follow all safety procedures and remain alert to potential hazards
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations and team objectives
QUALIFICATIONS & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse environment operating heavy equipment preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
- Experience with inventory control, stock management, and record keeping is an asset
- Forklift operation certification and experience operating various warehouse machinery
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment, logistics processes, and material handling practices
- Proficient in data entry, basic math, and computer systems for inventory and record keeping
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
