This is a high-impact, visible role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and serving as the senior-most accounting leader in the organization. The Accounting Manager will take broad ownership of the accounting function, partner closely with the CFO on financial leadership priorities, and help strengthen the company’s financial foundation through improved processes, systems, and controls. Scope of Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior accounting leader for the organization, owning day-to-day accounting operations and acting as a key partner to the CFO.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all core accounting activities, including month-end close, general ledger, COGS, inventory, payroll, intercompany activity, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial statements and management reporting.
- Partner with the CFO and leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning.
- Lead and support finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, automation, and development of standard operating procedures.
- Manage tax compliance, audits, and fixed asset accounting in coordination with external advisors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial transparency, operational efficiency, and margin performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Experience in industrial services, energy, manufacturing, or similarly complex operating environments strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to strengthen accounting processes, improve close and reporting, and support system or ERP initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, management accounting, and cash flow fundamentals.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance execution and team development.
- Clear communicator with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and comfort working closely with senior leadership.
