Koenig is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to support the Dealership's Franklin, IN location.
Duties:
- Perform diagnostic work on equipment to verify needed repairs per estimate. Notify service manager if initial diagnosis is inaccurate.
- Apply knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of CCE/Light Construction Equipment.
- Operating equipment used in service shops (diagnostic equipment, forklifts, hydraulic lifts, etc.).
- Perform assigned work in accordance with the estimate and the schedule. Communicating any issues that arise deviating from ability to complete in accordance with estimates.
- Keep accurate time records by segment on worked performed.
- Recommend additional service work to maximize machine productivity, reduce downtime, and add value for the customer.
- Professionally advise customers when required.
- Ensure that all parts requested for the job are billed and parts not used are returned in a timely manner.
- Submit work order detail to the Service Manager immediately upon the completion of each segment.
- Help maintain company fixed assets as required.
- Attend training and KEI events as required.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Agricultural or Construction Mechanics preferred, but not required.
- 2-4 years of relevant Technician based experience.
- Basic knowledge of product line, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use our computer operating system (IntelliDealer).
- Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment needed for the job.
- Clean driving record required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
