Koenig is currently searching for an Experienced Service Technician to add to our Team at the Dealership's Urbana, OH location.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair John Deere equipment and related technology with precision and efficiency
Provide guidance and mentorship to Service Technician Trainees and less experienced technicians
Support or lead customer clinics and product demonstrations as needed
Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs in the field when required
Manage billable time effectively and ensure timely completion of assigned work orders
Document all diagnostics, repairs, and services thoroughly and submit information promptly
Participate in John Deere’s Service EDUCATE Training programs to advance skills and product knowledge
Safely operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment essential for job performance
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Adhere to all company and regulatory safety procedures
Stay current with John Deere product updates as well as competitor offerings
Experience & Skills
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience performing service repairs; strong performance history preferred
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, including Service ADVISOR™ or similar systems
Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment
Skilled in using special tools and following technical manuals to perform precise repairs
Familiarity with operating equipment and tools for testing and diagnostic purposes
Strong communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to collaborate in a team environment
Must possess a sufficient personal toolset to perform assigned tasks
Education & Licensing
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a related field preferred
Valid driver’s license required; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) highly preferred
