Position Summary
Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking an experienced Stainless Shop Supervisor to lead operations within a high-production pipe fabrication shop in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for overseeing daily shop activities, ensuring quality standards, maintaining production schedules, and leading a team of skilled stainless welders and fitters.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of a stainless steel pipe fabrication shop
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 40–50 welders and fitters
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, codes, and project specifications
- Plan and manage workflow to meet production deadlines and customer requirements
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure efficient execution
- Monitor productivity, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements
- Conduct performance evaluations, training, and development of shop personnel
- Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and inventory oversight
- 5–10 years of experience in stainless steel pipe fabrication, with supervisory experience required
- Strong leadership experience managing large teams (40 employees)
- Extensive knowledge of stainless welding processes (TIG, MIG, orbital welding preferred)
- Familiarity with ASME codes, ISO standards, and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and technical drawings
- Proven ability to manage schedules, priorities, and multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
