Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TIG Stainless Steel Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on stainless steel components using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality, durable metal structures and assemblies that meet strict industry standards. Duties
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel materials with exceptional accuracy, adhering to detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure correct fabrication processes.
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and fitting sheet metal components using hand tools and power tools.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards.
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble parts.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, rigging, crane operation, and use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of welding procedures, inspections, and quality checks in compliance with ASME codes & standards.
Skills
- Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety practices and site protocols.
- Proficiency in TIG welding of stainless steel as well as experience with MIG welding and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
- Knowledge of
specific welding standards and ability to adapt techniques accordingly. - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and schematics accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement devices.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes including pipe threading, ductwork assembly, plasma cutting, soldering, and machining.
- Mechanical knowledge related to rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for material handling.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work.
- Experience working with schematics for assembly instructions or manufacturing processes.
