Key Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems, including:
- DX systems (up to 100 tons)
- Packaged and water-cooled AC units (up to 150 tons)
- Water source heat pumps
- Computer room units (CRAC) with humidification controls
- Gas-fired and electric heating systems
- Pneumatic, electronic, and DDC control systems
- Air handling units and VAV systems
- Perform system startups and monitor system performance
- Adjust valves, controls, and pumps to maintain proper operation
- Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs to restore full functionality
- Conduct preventative maintenance, including:
- Coil cleaning
- Belt replacement
- Duct inspections
- Install wiring and connect system components to power sources
- Maintain communication with dispatch and provide daily job updates
- Perform startup services for newly installed equipment
- Maintain clean, organized tools, vehicles, and work areas
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (required)
- 5 years of commercial HVAC/R experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
