Building Automation Service Sales Representative

A leading provider of building automation and mechanical solutions is seeking a Building Automation Service Sales Representative—ideal for a former BAS/DDC technician, controls specialist, or project manager ready to transition into a client-facing role.
This is not a traditional sales position. You will own both the problem and the solution, using your technical expertise to identify system challenges, develop tailored recommendations, and guide customers from discovery through execution.

This is not a traditional sales position. You will own both the problem and the solution, using your technical expertise to identify system challenges, develop tailored recommendations, and guide customers from discovery through execution.
What You’ll Do
- Engage building owners, facility managers, and contractors to identify system inefficiencies and opportunities
- Perform site assessments of BAS and HVAC systems
- Develop solutions including service agreements, retrofits, upgrades, and energy optimization strategies
- Build scopes, estimates, and proposals independently
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Grow existing accounts and develop new business across commercial and industrial markets
- Partner with operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction
- 3 years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or mechanical systems
- Hands-on field experience (BAS/DDC technician, controls specialist, or PM preferred)
- Strong understanding of system performance and optimization
- Ability to translate technical concepts into customer-focused solutions
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Transition out of the field while staying technical
- High ownership and impact with strong earning potential
