Commercial Closing Agent

Knight Barry Title's Cap Square office is looking for a dedicated Commercial Closer!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitates closing commercial transactions including single site, multi-parcel sales and/or loans.
• Prepares closing statements and other closing related documents.
• Follows escrow instructions consistent with the general requirements and approvals of the parties involved.
• Facilitates funding of transactions including wiring of funds.
• May travel locally to perform real estate transaction closings at other locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Thorough knowledge of the purpose and use of title insurance and sales and service techniques; legal descriptions, legal documents, escrow procedures and terminology.
• Considerable knowledge of policies and procedures involved in the escrow closing of real property; reviewing escrow instructions and reviewing preliminary title commitments.
• Considerable ability to facilitate an efficient escrow closing whether in person or via mail escrow.
• Analytical ability sufficient to perform assignments guided by general escrow procedures with minimal instructions from manager and to complete escrow closings requiring interpretation of highly involved terms and contingencies. Complexity of assignments requires meeting customer requirements and deadlines or a substantial monetary loss to the company may result.
• Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSING

• Three years of escrow experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
