KLR Executive Search Group is proud to partner with a sophisticated business and litigation law firm with offices throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts in the search for a motivated Litigation Legal Assistant to join the firm. This position provides support to litigation attorneys and paralegals and is responsible for a variety of administrative, clerical, and legal support functions related to litigation matters, including coordinating with courts, clients, and internal team members. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced business law environment, be comfortable learning new technologies, and work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to support ongoing legal proceedings and day-to-day operations. This role offers excellent long-term growth potential for individuals interested in building a career within the legal or professional services field and can be based onsite out of any of the firm’s three offices: Boston, MA; New Bedford, MA; or Providence, RI.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and litigation support throughout all phases of litigation matters, including motion practice, discovery, arbitration, mediation, hearings, trials, and appellate procedures.
- Assist with preparing, proofreading, revising, formatting, and filing legal documents while monitoring case activity, deadlines, and court filings.
- Coordinate scheduling for meetings, depositions, court appearances, and other litigation-related events while maintaining organized electronic and physical case files.
- Assist with legal and procedural research, billing support, document management, client communication, calendar coordination, conflict checks, and other general administrative functions.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of litigation or legal office experience required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, litigation procedures, court filings, legal documentation, and research methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal/document management software, including experience with NetDocuments, LMS, or similar systems preferred.
Salary : $55,000 - $80,000
