KLR Executive Search Group is proud to partner exclusively with a respected full-service law firm with offices in Worcester, Boston, and the Metro West area in the search for an eDiscovery Specialist to join the firm’s litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced eDiscovery professional to play a central role in supporting litigation, regulatory, and investigative matters through all phases of the electronic discovery lifecycle.
The Opportunity:
The eDiscovery Specialist will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and outside vendors to develop and execute practical, defensible, and cost-effective discovery strategies. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical eDiscovery knowledge with project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple matters in a fast-paced law firm environment. The position can sit out of the firm’s Worcester or Westborough office.
Responsibilities:
- Support all phases of the electronic discovery lifecycle, including preservation, collection, processing, review platform administration, document review coordination, production, and project documentation across litigation, regulatory, and investigative matters.
- Assist attorneys in developing discovery strategies, drafting ESI protocols and discovery plans, preparing for meet-and-confer discussions, and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules, procedural requirements, and agreed-upon production specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, custodians, IT professionals, and outside vendors to identify, preserve, collect, process, and manage electronically stored information while maintaining accurate chain of custody and project records.
- Manage eDiscovery workflows within review platforms, including workspace setup, data uploads, batching strategies, analytics tools, user permissions, quality control, rolling productions, privilege log support, and troubleshooting for attorneys, paralegals, and review teams.
- Oversee discovery-related timelines, deliverables, and vendor coordination across multiple matters, while helping monitor budgets, identify workflow efficiencies, and promote best practices in eDiscovery processes across the firm.
- Train attorneys, paralegals, and internal staff on eDiscovery tools, workflows, and best practices, while helping develop internal templates, guides, checklists, and standardized procedures to improve consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of eDiscovery, litigation support, or legal technology experience within a law firm or legal services environment.
- Experience managing eDiscovery matters from collection through production, including large data sets, multi-custodian projects, and coordination with attorneys, clients, and vendors.
- Strong knowledge of ESI workflows, document review, production protocols, metadata, and applicable discovery rules.
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, client-service-oriented environment.
- CEDS, RCA, or other relevant eDiscovery certifications strongly preferred.
This position may be filled at either the paralegal or attorney level, with compensation structured accordingly based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and level of practice.
Salary : $90,000 - $180,000
