Overview: BE PART OF AN AMAZING TEAM! The Klamath Falls YMCA is a dynamic organization in need of a full-time candidate to perform regular custodial and janitorial duties. The qualified candidate must be an organized self-starter who works collaboratively, is able to manage priorities and able to pivot workflow based on the needs of the organization. The ideal candidate must have a basic knowledge and understanding of janitorial/custodial cleaning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensures Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area. May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, vacuuming, and general cleaning/sanitized facility.
- Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies.
- Use all cleaning supplies in the proper and efficient manner.
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, maintains a professional and high standard of customer service.
- Employee is able to self-motivate and problem solve.
- Record and report all needed repairs; repairs as directed.
- Ensure YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- Snow removal, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities.
- All other duties assigned.
SCHEDULE:
- 4-hour shift
- Evening shift 6 pm -10 pm
- Optional Sunday hours available
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Related experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
- Must complete an Oregon Central Background Registry background check
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.
- Ability to:
- Erect and stand on ladders and platforms at heights up to 30 feet.
- Work with paint, cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms.
- Paint, clean equipment, and operate motorized equipment as needed.
- Work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.
- Perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve, but not limited to the following activities: semi – reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; carrying, working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back.
