What You’ll Do
- Accurately unpack, inspect, and verify incoming products, including matching items to purchase/receiving documentation and certificates of conformance.
- Communicate product inventory discrepancies to the Receiving Captain.
- Deliver and/or notify shops when their incoming product arrives and ensure it gets to the right end user.
- Complete daily receiving entries in the computer system and distribute paperwork to the purchasing office for filing.
- Assist with monthly and yearly inventory preparation and counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and inventory area, including hands-on cleaning, organizing, and minor maintenance.
- Help unload, load, and move custom furniture orders at the Country Life store as needed.
- Support daily operations in retail shops during the year as needed.
What You Bring
- Previous retail or retail receiving experience (preferred).
- A guest-focused attitude and desire to support our shops behind the scenes.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Comfort using computers and common programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Reliable time management, attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to be on your feet, climb steps repeatedly, twist, bend, reach, stoop, and kneel throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally 25–50 pounds.
- Comfort safely handling a hand truck and operating a golf (delivery-type) cart.
4- to 5-day work week (generally Monday–Friday). May have an occasional Saturday as needed. May also be required to work a holiday if it falls during the work week. Shift hours will fall within the range of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
