Job Summary
The Administrative Specialist will assist with the growth and development of all academic support services for the TRIO SSS office. The person will assist with tutoring, mentoring, and advising. The Administrative specialist will also help with other TRIO SSS related responsibilities.

Demonstrates knowledge of student-centered practices that support student success, retention, and engagement throughout the academic journey.
Demonstrates thorough understanding of FERPA and other federal and state regulations related to admissions, registration, and student records. Ensures compliance in all student services operations.
Experienced in managing and supporting enrollment processes, new student orientation programs, and transition services that foster a welcoming and informed student experience.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree
Strong organizational & communication skills
Commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds
Experience working one on one with students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred

Assist with programs and services designed to increase persistence and degree attainment among program participants.
Assist in maintaining TRIO SSS social media sites.
Assist with TRIO SSS Orientation in Fall and Spring Semester.
Attend TRIO Office meetings and other campus meetings as a representative of TRIO SSS and Student Services.
Assist with daily and weekly communication to TRIO SSS students via email, text, and social media.
Provide support in training students and staff on tools such as, but not limited to, Accudemia, Brainfuse, and Brightspace D2L, and Calendly.
Assist with Blumen data and clean up.
Assist with recruitment efforts, such as classroom presentations and outreach.
Update and maintain Brightspace D2L content and class list as well as Blumen and STRK case notes.
Assist in revising academic advising and case management tools, such as Student Success Plans, Intake form, and TRIO SSS Orientation.

Assist in cleaning up electronic and hard copy data files for TRIO SSS.
Collaborate with other Student Support offices/services on campus to assist students on caseload (ex. Homeless liaison, Career Services, WIOA, Tutoring, Disability Services, Champions Fund).
Coordinate tutoring schedules, including matching tutors with participants; recording and tracking participants, recording and tracking participants progress and after.
Assist with event planning and marketing for special TRIO events, such as first-generation week, TRIO graduation, and cultural events.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the director of TRIO SSS.
