Junior Estimator – Construction Roofing

Salary: Up to $90,000 per year
We are working with a growing construction roofing contractor in NYC that specializes in new construction roofing projects, with additional exposure to restoration work. They are looking to hire a Junior Estimator to support their expanding preconstruction and estimating team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for new construction roofing projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents
- Perform quantity take-offs and material pricing
- Support senior estimators with bid preparation and proposals
- Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Help track project costs and maintain estimating databases
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in construction estimating (roofing preferred)
- Exposure to new construction projects (commercial or residential)
- Restoration experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Excel; estimating software experience is a plus
