What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer - Sports Medicine position at KINGS DAUGHTERS MEDICAL CENTER?
Provides athletic training and sports medicine support to area athletes by evaluating injuries, developing treatment and rehabilitation plans, and collaborating with physicians, coaches, athletes, and families. Delivers on-site care at practices and sporting events, educates patients on injury prevention and recovery, and builds strong relationships within the community. Maintains professional expertise through continuing education and supports departmental initiatives, including outreach and program development. Requires flexibility to travel to local schools and adapt to varying clinical and non-clinical responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program required. Must hold or be eligible for Mississippi Athletic Trainer licensure and maintain current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
