Commercial Electrical Estimator

We are seeking a Commercial Electrical Estimator to take ownership of preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for diverse electrical projects. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of electrical systems, hands-on field experience, and the ability to balance precision with efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will directly influence the company's continued growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Perform digital takeoffs, calculate labor requirements, and build comprehensive bid proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure accurate pricing.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions.
- Identify constructability issues and propose cost-saving solutions.
- Track bid results and contribute to ongoing process improvement.
- Support project handoff, buyout, and subcontractor negotiations.
- 5 to 7 years in electrical construction; at least 2 to 3 years in estimating.
- Proficiency with Accubid, Bluebeam, and related software.
- An Associate degree in Construction Management, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading, a strong grasp of NEC, and local codes.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal communications with internal teams and clients.
- A Bachelor's degree, BIM/Revit/AutoCAD experience, multifamily expertise, and familiarity with Denver market conditions are preferred.
- A Colorado Journeyman's License is preferred, but not required. Applicants with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.
- Projects are primarily based in Denver with travel across the Front Range as needed.
- Full-time position, W-2 employee role.
- Salary Range: $75,000 to $110,000 annually (depending on experience)
- Paid time off: 2 weeks to start, increasing with tenure
