They are looking to hire a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join their California office and support the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across North America.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute private equity investments across the power, mining, and broader natural resources sectors.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, DCF, merger, and operating models.
- Perform commercial, financial, and operational due diligence on prospective investments.
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to identify new investment opportunities.
- Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and supporting analysis.
- Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and assist with value creation initiatives.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of investment banking experience with a leading investment bank.
- Strong transaction experience within the power, utilities, infrastructure, energy transition, metals & mining, or natural resources sectors.
- Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Bachelor's degree with an outstanding academic record.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity and investing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
