Responsibilities

Provide direction, mentorship, and ongoing support to risk management personnel

Lead performance management efforts, including coaching, evaluations, and professional development

Act as a trusted advisor for complex or high-hazard operations

Build and maintain a high-performing team with specialized technical expertise

Work closely with claims professionals to review significant losses and identify preventative measures

Collaborate with actuarial and analytics teams to assess trends and improve decision-making

Represent the organization at relevant events, conferences, and professional forums

Contribute to overall business strategy through risk insights and recommendations

Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, and resource allocation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Safety, Insurance, or a related field preferred

8 years of experience in risk management, loss control, or safety within complex operations

Background in Property & Casualty insurance, including collaboration with underwriting and claims teams

Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams

Strong knowledge of operational risk exposures, safety practices, and regulatory requirements

Industry designations such as CPCU, ARM, CRM, or CSP are a plus
