JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The LCL Traffic Coordinator will be responsible for performing various office and clerical functions for the LCL Department, including bills of lading, inventory control,
customer service, routing. The position will require a working knowledge of numbers and computers as well as attention to detail.
Essential Functions

- Answer all emails in a timely and professional manner
- Match export documents with warehouse receipts
- Assist with export shipment booking process,
- Request from customer export documentation (Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, IMO, etc.)
- File Electronic Export Information (EEI) in a timely and compliant manner.
- Work with the warehouse to track and prepare loading specs of cargoes as per customer requirements.
- Attend to high volume incoming phone calls, extensive follow-up and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Review inventories for assigned ports
- Ensure proper documentation is received for all cargo to be loaded
- Verify that authorized cargo is correctly targeted for loading
- Review load lists provided by warehouse after container loading
- Ensure containers are correctly stuffed
- Send all bill of lading to customers
- Follow up on any corrections received.
- Any other duties, as assigned

Essential Qualifications
· 3 years of experience as export coordinator
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
· Experience in a transaction processing role
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full time status. This position regularly requires long hours.
