Position Overview:
The LCL Export Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of LCL export shipments. This includes ensuring smooth communication with clients, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to guarantee timely and accurate shipment execution. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of international shipping regulations.
Key Areas of Responsibility (Include but not limited to):
- Coordinate LCL export shipments from origin to destinations, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and execution.
- Prepare and review shipping documents including Bill of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificate of origin, and other required export documentation.
- Liaise with carriers, NVOCCs, and freight forwarders to schedule and confirm LCL shipments.
- Monitor shipment status, resolve issues, and communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export compliance laws, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate shipment records in the company’s transportation management system (TMS) or relevant software.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth shipment preparation and dispatch.
- Track and report on key operational KPI’s such as shipment timelines, carrier performance, and documentation accuracy,
- Assist with rate and service negotiations with carriers and partners as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries related to LCL exports and provide timely resolution of shipment issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in export operations, preferably with LCL shipments.
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures, INCOTERMS, and export compliance regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office, (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with TMS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Working Conditions:
- Office based with occasional interaction with warehouse.
- Standard business hours, with occasional extended hours depending on shipment schedules.
