Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging daily activities tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
- Monitor children’s behavior using effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions
- Provide basic first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies or accidents with compassion and professionalism
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized care plans for children with special education needs or disabilities
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and daily activities
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s development, milestones, and any concerns
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and preschool curriculum standards
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in early childhood education is advantageous
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience that involved caregiving responsibilities for young children is valuable
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a lively, positive atmosphere.
