Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress
- Maintain accurate attendance, developmental records, and daily reports
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure a consistent, positive learning experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Early Childhood Education degree or CDA credential preferred
- Previous experience in a childcare, preschool, or early childhood education setting
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
