Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Ensure the safety of all children through vigilant supervision and adherence to childcare standards
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity
- Apply child supervision techniques to manage behavior effectively and foster positive social interactions
- Follow mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure children's well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible learning environment
- Familiarity with pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws to ensure safety compliance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children of various ages
- Previous babysitting or caregiving experience with infants, toddlers, or young children is a big plus
- Strong understanding of behavior management strategies tailored for early learners
