Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times.
- Support children with their daily routines, including diapering, toileting, and personal hygiene practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong home-school connections.
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws to ensure children's well-being.
- Assist with classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and social skills development.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development instruction.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Passion for nurturing young children’s growth through caregiving, teaching, and supervision.
