Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, potty training, and nap times
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's day and any concerns
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Certification in First Aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and caregiving routines for infants through preschoolers
