Workday Financials Consultant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Medford, MA that is seeking a Workday Financials Consultant. Responsibilities:

• Serve as a hands-on subject matter expert for a financial management system used within an operating company
• Evaluate current accounting and finance processes and translate best practices into system design and functionality
• Assess end-to-end financial workflows (e.g., procure-to-pay, record-to-report, asset management, cash processes)
• Identify automation opportunities and recommend efficient, scalable, and control-focused solutions
• Partner with accounting teams, implementation partners, and internal project leaders to guide future-state design
• Help prevent replication of legacy processes by advising on improved, system-enabled workflows
• Support system design, testing, and integration planning activities
• Develop training materials and lead hands-on working and knowledge-transfer sessions
• Act as a train-the-trainer to build internal capability and long-term ownership
• Participate in key planning and design sessions, including periodic onsite collaboration as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Strong foundation in accounting and finance within an operating company environment
• Direct, hands-on experience using a financial management or ERP system as an end user
• Experience supporting or participating in financial system implementations from the client side
• Ability to connect accounting best practices with system functionality and configuration
• Experience evaluating and improving financial processes through automation and controls
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical, functional, and business teams
• Proven ability to document processes, design future-state solutions, and deliver training
• Comfortable working in hybrid or remote environments with occasional onsite support
• Consulting or advisory experience preferred
• Ability to support project timelines and key implementation milestones
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
