Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a Senior UX Researcher. Overview: The Lead UX Researcher partners closely with UX design, UX strategy, and product teams across multiple initiatives that touch key points in the customer journey. Using approaches such as user interviews, surveys, mixed-method research, usability testing, and the exploration of emerging qualitative techniques, this role works alongside UX Designers to gather, analyze, and communicate customer insights. This position focuses on uncovering the -why- behind user behaviors to help guide product direction. The Lead UX Researcher champions the user perspective through careful analysis and translates customer input into actionable recommendations that support stronger product decisions. Responsibilities:

- Own and lead UX research and testing efforts end-to-end
- Develop research plans as well as discussion guides and testing scripts
- Assist in creating research analyses, summaries, and formal reports
- Combine and interpret customer feedback into clear user observations and themes
- Maintain organized records of studies, including findings and video artifacts
- Identify opportunities for generative research and independently execute research initiatives
- Influence product roadmaps by linking user pain points and opportunity areas to business goals
- Help shape and advance UX strategy and research practices within the UX team and across cross-functional partners
- Produce research readouts, presentations, and written materials for distribution to broader stakeholders
- B.S./B.A. in a field related to Usability, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or a similar discipline (Master's preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
- Deep expertise in mixed-methods research
- Strategic insight and ability to influence decisions
- Leadership, collaboration, and mentorship
- Significant experience conducting 1:1 user interviews
- Comfortable working with remote research/testing platforms
- Proven ability to connect business objectives with user needs and propose forward-looking product enhancements
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
- Able to adjust quickly to changing priorities, timelines, and expectations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Strong initiative, accountability, and ownership of outcomes
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
- Maintains composure; Not easily frustrated
