Senior/Principal WPF Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Carlsbad, CA that is seeking a Senior/Principal WPF Software Engineer. Summary: The Senior Software Engineer will work with the development team to create Windows PC based applications for medical device console with modern graphical user interface and underlying data communication, processing, storage and retrieving mechanism. The Software Engineer will also develop PC based applications for lab usage per engineering requests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop Windows PC based GUI applications
• Create software modules to communicate with other hardware components with established protocols
• Analyze and understand legacy systems and work within existing design frameworks
• Lead development of a 3D mapping system for a medical device application
• Create software modules for data storing and retrieving
• Generate data processing algorithms and applications
• Provide documentation suitable for design verification and validation
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• WPF experience: Ideally 5 years, minimum of 3 years
• Medical device experience is mandatory
• Heavy emphasis on UI design and 3D data rendering
• Must be autonomous and capable of working with minimal guidance
• Must collaborate effectively across the team, no siloed work
• Database handling experience is required, specifically: working with local SQL databases (not server-based)
• Ability to design, implement, revise, and manage database schemas
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
