Senior Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Woburn, MA that is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a multi-state employee population of approximately 320. This role works closely with HR and Finance to ensure accurate pay delivery, reporting, and compliance in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do:

• Manage regular payroll cycles for salaried and hourly employees across multiple states
• Prepare and process non-standard payments such as incentive pay, equity events, and leave-related adjustments
• Maintain payroll accuracy through reconciliations, audits, and required reporting
• Support employee pay changes throughout the employment lifecycle
• Produce payroll data and reports to support internal partners
• Ensure payroll practices align with applicable federal and state requirements

Requirements

• 5-7 years of payroll processing experience
• Experience processing multi-state payrolls in a high-growth or dynamic environment
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulations
• Experience or exposure to equity compensation payroll (RSUs, ESPP, stock options) preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams including HR and Finance
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated problem-solving, research, and analysis capabilities
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
