Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in San Ramon, CA that is seeking a Retail Media Network Consultant Strategy who will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Fortune 500 retailers, CPG brands, and media teams, helping them design, build, optimize, and monetize world-class Retail Media Networks (RMNs). This role combines deep domain expertise in retail media with -style strategy consulting, transformation delivery, and C-level advisory. The Retail Media Network Consultant Strategy will lead complex client engagements focused on RMN strategy, revenue growth, technology enablement, advanced measurement, and full-funnel commerce media activation. Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end RMN strategy engagements: develop growth roadmaps, revenue targets, channel mix (onsite, offsite, in-store, programmatic), pricing/packaging models, and go-to-market plans
  • Advise clients on RMN product development, monetization levers, and platform roadmaps, including search, display, video, sponsored content, and data collaboration opportunities
  • Design and implement advanced measurement frameworks (attribution, incrementality testing, closed-loop ROI, new-to-brand metrics) to prove media effectiveness and drive optimization
  • Evaluate and recommend retail media technology stacks, including ad servers, clean rooms, CDPs, DSPs, and integrations with major platforms (Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger Precision, Amazon Ads, Criteo, CitrusAd, etc.)
  • Facilitate executive workshops, capability assessments, and transformation programs to help retailers scale their RMN businesses profitably
  • Collaborate with cross-functional client teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, Data, Engineering) and internal teams (Strategy, Technology, Analytics)
  • Contribute to thought leadership, proposals, client pitches, and practice development in the fast-evolving retail media space

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Data Analytics, or related field required
  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 12-14 years of progressive experience in retail media, commerce media, digital advertising, or AdTech/MarTech strategy and consulting
  • Strong hands-on background working with or for major Retail Media Networks (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger, Instacart, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a top-tier consulting firm, strategy agency, or leading retailer/agency advising on RMN build, scale, optimization, or monetization
  • Track record of managing large-scale engagements and media budgets ($10M )
  • Deep knowledge of retail media ecosystems, shopper journey, onsite/offsite/in-store formats, programmatic retail media, and emerging trends (Retail Media 2.0, loyalty integration, AI personalization, privacy-safe data solutions)
  • Strong understanding of ad tech and martech platforms, clean room technologies, and measurement best practices
  • Excellent strategic problem-solving, analytical, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for C-suite audiences
  • Demonstrated client leadership and relationship-building capabilities
  • Experience leading teams and delivering projects in dynamic, ambiguous environments

Preferred

  • Prior strategy consulting experience, preferably in Big 4
  • Proven ability to sell and deliver high-value consulting projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
