Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Assurance Manual Tester in Milpitas, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute manual test cases including functional, system, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
- Validate application behavior across web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
- Execute automated test suites when required and analyze test failures
- Create, maintain, and update test cases, test plans, and test documentation
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to reproduce issues and verify fixes
- Analyze business and technical requirements to ensure complete test coverage
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Perform regression testing to ensure stability after changes or fixes
- Perform both black-box testing (user-focused validation) and white-box testing (leveraging system knowledge when applicable)
- Ensure applications meet functional requirements, usability standards, and quality benchmarks before release
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Proven experience in manual software testing
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail)
- Experience testing web applications using browsers such as Chrome and Firefox
- Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms
- Basic understanding of automated testing and ability to execute automated test scripts
- Exposure to automation tools or scripting
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
