Kforce has a client in Brooklyn, NY that is seeking a Grant Accountant. Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of funded programs or financial accounts
- Prepare and submit invoices, reports, and supporting documentation in a timely manner
- Assist with budget updates and revisions as needed
- Review financial data regularly to ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses; make adjustments as required
- Support audit processes and assist with preparation of financial documentation and reports
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on budgeting and financial requests
- Communicate clearly and professionally regarding financial matters, including issues and resolutions
- Ensure work is performed in alignment with organizational policies and standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting or financial experience
- Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., formulas, data analysis functions)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience supporting grant, contract, or program-based accounting activities
- Familiarity with financial management or ERP systems
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment
