Summary: The Global Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing payroll operations across multiple regions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. This role manages payroll staff and external vendors, oversees payroll systems and reporting, and partners with cross-functional teams to support accurate accounting, tax compliance, and process efficiency. The position plays a key role in maintaining strong internal controls and supporting audits. Responsibilities:

The position plays a key role in maintaining strong internal controls and supporting audits. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the payroll function, including oversight of payroll staff and third-party payroll providers
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple countries and jurisdictions
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within payroll operations
- Develop, train, and coach payroll team members
- Partner with Human Resources, Information Systems, and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy, system integration, and proper financial reporting
- Ensure correct setup and processing of earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes
- Perform periodic payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and international payroll tax regulations
- Respond to payroll tax inquiries and notices from regulatory authorities and vendors
- Maintain payroll documentation, internal controls, and audit readiness
- Oversee payroll-related accounting, including general ledger interfaces and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate processing and reporting of incentive compensation and equity-related payroll items
- Manage year-end payroll processes and tax reporting to ensure timely and accurate distribution of employee tax documents
- 8-10 years of payroll experience, including global or multi-country payroll
- Prior experience managing a payroll team
- Multi-state payroll experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll operations, payroll tax compliance, and internal controls
- Experience working with payroll and human capital management systems
- Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet and reporting tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- High degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
